Build on drawing and painting skills
Students practise skills such as shading, proportion, colour mixing, brush control and composition. Projects give them a chance to use these skills in finished artwork. Beginners are welcome, and students can ask the teacher for guidance as they work.
Students who enjoy sketching may want to read about drawing lessons. Those who want to explore paint can see the painting class details.
Current group options
The current schedule lists Wednesday at 6:00 PM for ages 7–10 and Thursday at 7:00 PM for ages 8–11. A Wednesday 7:00 PM group is listed as a new group; contact OPSMA to confirm its age range and current openings. Schedule and availability can change.
Each class meets for 60 minutes. The group art class fee is $25 per class, and materials for regular projects are included.

Families may book one free trial class before choosing monthly enrollment. Contact OPSMA to confirm current availability. Regular classes cost $25 per 60 minutes. If your child joins monthly lessons, a one-time $25 registration fee applies.

Does my child need previous art experience?

No. Art lessons are taught in small groups.
